Supporting and assessing families in a residential setting
Buckmaster House and The Elms are warm, welcoming houses situated in East Kent.
Accommodation is suitable for single-parent families or larger family units. Buckmaster House and The Elms are both registered to accomodate up to eight families at any one time. Both homes are decorated to a high standard and furnishings are regularly updated and replaced. Each family has their own bedroom, with all bedrooms at Buckmaster House having en suites. There are bathrooms and toilets on each floor at The Elms. There are communal kitchens and dining areas. We also have offices, laundry rooms, spacious lounges and a play/ contact room. The houses have an enclosed and safe rear garden with play equipment.
There are large parks, local shops, restaurants, chemists, post offices, GP surgeries, dental surgeries, libraries, bus stops, parent and child groups, train stations and other amenities within a five to ten minute walk of the house.
We are situated within close proximity to various beaches, with Buckmaster House overlooking a beach, a large shopping complex and supermarkets. Both homes are situated within a five minute walk of a town centre.

I liked being at Majestic and being supported, there was always someone to talk to and staff have been really good and supportive. The support has helped me get into a routine and build a relationship with my baby. Night staff have been helpful and supportive when I was unwell. I did find the rules difficult to begin with, but I quickly got used to them. My assessing social worker at Majestic is really good and her support has been excellent.
I feel that I have been supported to learn more about my baby and his development. I feel more comfortable talking and working with my local authority social worker and this has shown that I can work with professional to look after my child to the best of my ability. My lead assessing social worker has done everything possible to help and support me. I feel this is because she got to know me, took the time to learn about me and my autism and knew the best ways to help me learn.
Being around the staff who are so happy, positive and friendly has helped me to come out of myself, feel confident, do more for (baby) and not worry about what others think. I had lost myself but now I feel more confident and able to express myselfow me, took the time to learn about me and my autism and knew the best ways to help me learn.
